Like so many trends that trickle down to the high street, this one started with high-end designer brand Gucci, who wowed fashion lovers - me included!- with this appliquéd and embroidered denim jacket featuring handmade needlepoint patches, a roaring tiger appliqué, 'Blind for Love' sentiment across the back and the label's signature bee motif on the collar. You can of course purchase the real deal from Net-A-Porter....I couldn't really afford the price tag so I made it my mission to find something a little more friendly on my hip pocket!
It wasn't long before I happened upon this little gem of a denim jacket in Valley Girl - it cost a mere $59.95 and yet every time I throw it on, it gets so many compliments!
And while these sorts of trends can come and go quickly, I'm happy to report that appliquéd denim is still going strong - just this week I shot an amazing pair of jeans for one of the upcoming fashion editorials going live on See.Need.Want very soon, and judging from everyone's reaction to my little behind-the-scenes post on Instagram, you guys wanted more!
