Gorgeous and talented Australian actresses Olympia Valance and Jodi Gordon, share the screen as co-stars on long-running soap, Neighbours, are close friends off the screen and recently stepped in front of the camera together again in a playful and sexy campaign shoot for VOODOO's new leggings range, Muse.

Flaunting their svelte figures in the latest hosiery trends including fishnets and patterned mesh tights teamed with fluffy pink feathered coats, leather and lace, the brunette bombshells smoulder in the campaign shoot which showcases how to style your hosiery this winter.

In this exclusive chat with Olympia Valance we get the lowdown on her friendship with Jodi, beauty must-haves, being a fashion risk taker and just how she maintains her rocking curves perfect for flaunting this season's sexiest leggings.

What was it like to work with Jodi Gordon on this shoot – you seem like you have a great friendship?

I adore Jodi. I feel very lucky that we have formed such a close friendship while working together on Neighbours. Beyond having such a kind soul, she is obviously drop dead gorgeous too! It’s always fun when you get to work with your friends, and the VOODOO campaign was no different – we both had such a great time.

Tell us a bit about your partnership with VOODOO, have you always been a fan of the brand?

When VOODOO approached me, it really was a match made in heaven. I’ve always loved their products. Especially going into Melbourne winter (it’s freezing here!), I am either snuggled up in leggings at home, or pairing tights with a dress or skirt when I’m out and about. Their pieces are versatile, and I think that’s what everyone is after – easy, fashion forward, and cold weather appropriate.

What are some of your faves trends from the collection?

I love that fishnets are making a comeback!! The VOODOO Lia Leggings are my favourite for this reason. The thicker VOODOO Imogen leggings that can be worn on their own with a jumper are perfect for nights in doors too.

Fishnets and mesh tights are really on-trend this season – what’s your fave way to style them?

Keeping the rest of your outfit simple is the trick. I’m currently pairing them with a plain black A-Line skirt and black long sleeve tops. All black everything (can you tell I live in Melbourne?).

What’s your go-to outfit for a date night?

Because it’s so icy down here in Melbourne, I’ve been pairing the Lia leggings with either a black skirt or a little black dress and thigh high black boots. Chuck on a beautiful, thick camel coloured coat and I’m good to go!

You really wowed on the red carpet at The Logies in your bespoke CON ILO gown – would you describe yourself as a risk-taker when it comes to style?

Absolutely. I always have been. I have always had a love for fashion, but I also believe in pushing the boundaries and trying something new. I love trends, but I also like to break them. I don’t think fashion should ever be taken too seriously – it’s important to have fun and let what you’re wearing reflect who you are.

How do you juggle your acting commitments with ambassadorship roles?

It can be tricky! I have always loved to work though, so being busy is something I am used to and thrive off. I feel so incredibly lucky to be given the opportunities I have, so that’s always a motivator to keep working hard, even when the fatigue sets in occasionally!

What are some of your beauty-must haves?

When I’m working and don’t have a lot of time, simplicity plays a large role. I think the most important thing for me is my skin care routine – a good base, and healthy skin sets the tone for everything else. I swear by MD Formulations and Ultraceuticals for my face wash and moisturizer. I use a Vitamin A serum twice a week at night to give my skin a bit of extra life and eradicate any pimples that might be brewing.

There must be some really long days on the set of Neighbours, what are your fave ways to keep fit and healthy?

Pre-planning my meals on Sunday’s is the easiest way for me to make sure I’m eating well throughout the week, regardless of how busy I get. I always spend Sunday’s scheduling a few F45 classes around my filming schedules for the week too – it keeps me accountable and motivated.

Does being in the public eye and TV put extra pressure on you to keep in shape?

For me, being in shape is more about how great it makes me feel, rather than how I look on screen. If you are looking after your body and being kind to yourself, it allows you to approach every day as the best possible version of yourself.

Did you always know that you wanted to work as an actress? Your sister Holly is also in the industry – did she inspire you to follow the same path?

I’ve always admired Holly, and I spent most of my teenager years watching her progress, so that was definitely a motivator for me. I didn’t know how much I wanted to be an actress though until I started drama classes around the age of 18 – as soon as I began, it just ignited a passion I didn’t even know I had in me. I felt invigorated and inspired – it was such a great creative outlet for me.

Do you follow a particular diet plan? If so which one?

I try and stick to a high protein diet throughout the week. Coming from a Greek background, I’ve always loved meats such as lamb and chicken, paired with either a delicious salad or some roasted veggies. Food is such a huge love in my life, so come Saturday or Sunday I will always be up for enjoying a delicious meal and a glass of wine out with friends.

What do you like to do in your down time?

I don’t have a whole heap of down time at the moment! But when I do, you will find me either snuggled up watching a movie with my poodle George, or out for dinner and drinks with family and friends.

You’ve amassed quite a bit of a following now – do you often get stopped by strangers who recognize you? How does it feel to be recognized?

I sometimes do, yes! I always love meeting people that watch me on Neighbours, or follow me on social media. It’s quite humbling – I feel very lucky that people seem to be liking what I’m putting out into the universe!

What’s next for you?

At the moment I am filming Neighbours full time down here in Melbourne. I’m heading over to Greece in a few months with my family, so I’m very excited to have some down time. From a work point of view, I guess you never truly know what is around the corner – stay tuned!
