Black Friday sales are the perfect time to nab coveted brands at discounts rates and try new season trend pieces. Here's what I'm loving...
I love sales! I think you can find add some amazing pieces to your wardrobe for a fraction of the cost by shopping a sale smart! When Pretty Little Thing asked me to collaborate I chose my looks for this blog wisely. Even though their pieces are really affordable (and even before their current Black Friday (get 50% off everything and site, use code HURRY50), I wanted to buy looks that would work into next season too.
When shopping sales, I always advise to stock up on durable fabrics and pieces that will also work in the opposite season which is why you will notice I've chosen corduroy outerwear, faux leather pants and a denim jumpsuit in this round up. I also recommend to stick with neutral colours and classic shapes. In saying that, it’s also good to add some prints, textures and on-trend silhouettes into the mix that will add some X-factor to your look.
My rule of thumb when it comes to buying sale items:
- Is the colour / print versatile and will it work with denim and most neutral colours
- can you think of at least 3 things you already own that it will work with
- Is it a durable fabric and can you dress it up or down
- Does the shape or silhouette work with current season looks and will it flatter your body shape
