Lebanese Kofta with Spicy Tomato Sauce

Method

Step 1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients thoroughly.

Step 2. Shape the mixture into 10 equal-sized balls, then roll each ball into an oval pattie.

Step 3. In a nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium high heat and brown the patties.

Step 4. For the Spicy Tomato Sauce: In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 5. Add the garlic and sauté for one minute.

Step 6. Add the cumin, paprika, jalapeños, peppers, and tomatoes, then bring to a boil.

Step 7. Reduce heat and simmer for five minutes.

Step 8. Pour the lemon juice and vinegar, then remove from heat.

Step 9. Pour the tomato sauce over the patties. Serve hot!
